Media Literacy: Information, News, and Fact-Checking – CSO Workshop in Matale district

The Sri Lanka Press Institute, with support from the U.S. Embassy Colombo, Sri Lanka, is conducting a series of workshops for adult groups, including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), on ‘Media Literacy: Information, News, and Fact-Checking’. As part of this program, we organized a workshop for CSO members in the Matale District on February 09th.

While we focus on enhancing the skills of media professionals and newsrooms, it’s equally important to educate the general public on media literacy, as they are the ultimate consumers of all forms of information. During the workshop, we emphasized the significance of media literacy and guided distinguishing news from other types of information they consume daily. The session covered basic fact-checking techniques and strategies for countering propaganda.handskar utan fingrar gard chauffe biberon avent scf356 clio 3 1.5 dci changement courroie de distribution entreprise climatisation 974 piastrine zanzare neonati amazon castello del leone playmobil amazon nastro per confetti amazon borsa chanel anni 70 intel 2600 i7 piastrine zanzare neonati amazon intel 2600 i7 dámská károvaná košile camisole avec brassiere integree cercei fulger bruce lee kläder

As the Sri Lanka Press Institute, we continue to advocate for informed media consumption among the general public, empowering them to make wise decisions based on accurate information.
