Media Literacy: Information, News, and Fact-Checking – Polonnaruwa District Workshop

The Sri Lanka Press Institute, with support from the U.S. Embassy Colombo, Sri Lanka, is conducting a series of workshops for adult groups, including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), on ‘Media Literacy: Information, News, and Fact-Checking’. As part of this program, we organized a workshop for CSO members in the Polonnaruwa District on March 03rd.

While we focus on enhancing the skills of media professionals and newsrooms, it’s equally important to educate the general public on media literacy, as they are the ultimate consumers of all forms of information. During the workshop, we emphasized the significance of media literacy and guided distinguishing news from other types of information they consume daily. The session covered basic fact-checking techniques and strategies for countering propaganda.jbl driver windows 7 piastrine zanzare neonati amazon pytel do kočárku návod handskar utan fingrar gard suunto mujer gps tipos de agujas magicas suunto mujer gps handskar utan fingrar gard table cuisson neff camisole avec brassiere integree chargeur s8 samsung original camisole avec brassiere integree orologio solare ad anello amazon aspirador vertical Portugal entreprise climatisation 974

As the Sri Lanka Press Institute, we continue to advocate for informed media consumption among the general public, empowering them to make wise decisions based on accurate information.
