The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), successfully conducted a two-day Humanitarian Reporting Workshop for Journalists in Sinhala and Tamil in July 2026.
The workshop brought together journalists from diverse backgrounds to strengthen their understanding and practice of responsible, ethical, and empathetic humanitarian reporting.
Through interactive sessions, discussions, and experience sharing, participants deepened their knowledge and reflected on the importance of people-centred and sensitive reporting when covering humanitarian issues.
