We successfully concluded the Women Media Leaders of Tomorrow (WMLT) Workshop, held from 19–21 December at the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), bringing together young women journalists and media students from across the country.
The three-day workshop focused on women’s leadership in media, newsroom culture, safety and resilience, and building sustainable career pathways for women in journalism. Participants engaged in insightful discussions, practical exercises, and reflections guided by an inspiring group of senior journalists and media professionals.
We are grateful to our resource persons Sharmini Boyle, Dilrukshi Handunnetti, Minelle Fernandez, and guest speaker Gagani Weerakoon for generously sharing their experiences and expertise.
