Media Literacy: Information, News, and Fact-Checking – Ampara Workshop

Sri Lanka Press Institute, with support from the US Embassy in Colombo, hosted a workshop titled ‘Media Literacy: Information, News, and Fact-Checking’ on March 13, 2024, in Ampara District. The workshop catered to adult groups, including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), emphasizing the critical need for media literacy.

Participants were guided in discerning news from other forms of information and taught basic fact-checking techniques to combat misinformation effectively. The session underscored the importance of educating the public on media literacy, considering them as the primary consumers of information in society. By equipping participants with skills to distinguish credible sources from propaganda, the workshop aimed to empower them to make informed decisions. costume sanji entreprise climatisation 974 chauffe biberon avent scf356 gammal golvlampa med bord vestito barbie bambina lanterna tática police 32000w e 96000 lumens ultra potente chargeur s8 samsung original tampoes ouvidos ruido Portugal costume homme suitsupply tipos de agujas magicas camiseta nba manga larga kit complet centrala pe lemne costume sanji mon chien détruit tout dans le jardin mon chien détruit tout dans le jardin
