The Sri Lanka Press Institute recently hosted a ‘Digital Media Literacy and Unmasking False Narratives’ workshop in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Colombo, Sri Lanka. The event held on August 16, 2023, was attended by 35 talented undergraduates from the Department of Sinhala and Communication at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
In an era dominated by digital media, it is crucial that we equip young minds with the skills to navigate the information landscape. This workshop aimed to foster essential knowledge and skills in digital media literacy among our enthusiastic participants.
