In an era where harmful narratives run rampant on the internet, it’s vital to equip the youth with the tools to navigate the digital world wisely. The Sri Lanka Press Institute, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Colombo, Sri Lanka, organized a workshop on Digital Media Literacy and Unmasking False Narratives for communication undergraduates from the Rajarata University of Srilanka.
With 35 enthusiastic participants, the workshop held on the 25th of July 2023, at Rajarata University, aimed to foster a better understanding of digital media among young minds. Facilitated by media trainer Kasun Kumarage and the SLPI team, the event received valuable coordination and support from Lecturer Sachini Gunarathna and the staff of Rajarata University.
Together, we are delighted to work with these enthusiastic young groups, paving the way for a media-savvy and empowered generation.
