Eco Journalism Training Program for Eastern Province Journalists

Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) conducted the fourth training program on “Eco Journalism” for provincial journalists in the Eastern Province on 15 and 16 December 2022 at the Hotel East Lagoon, Batticaloa. The training sessions were conducted by University of Kelaniya Senior Lecturer Prof. M.M.M. Najim and Vidivelli Editor and Media Trainer Mohamed Fairooz in Tamil language. The program included sessions on environmental issues specific to the Eastern Province, where the journalists shared their knowledge and challenges faced while reporting. The training program also included hands-on activities where journalists were able to develop and expand their knowledge base.
