“A Strong Parliament for a Democratic Tomorrow” – Provincial Workshop for Youth

The Southern Province workshop titled  “A Strong Parliament for a Democratic Tomorrow”, wasconducred on 12th June 2022 as part of the islandwide awareness series conducted by the Sri Lanka Press Institute that promotes democracy and raised political literacy of Sri Lankan youth.  The program was attended by 26 youth and the discussion on Parliamentary Procedure was conducted by Mr. Manjula Gajanayake, Executive Director, Institute for Democratic Reforms and Election Studies (IRES). Hon. MPs Buddhika Pathirana, Dullas Alahapperuma and former MP Sunil Handunneththi joined a session sharing their experience as members and former members of the Parliament representing the province.
