Research on Voter Education in Sri Lanka – Training Program for Enumerators

The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) is currently conducting a research program on voter education in Sri Lanka to study and assess gaps in voter communication and understand its challenges. As part of the initiative, the SLPI facilitated a training for research enumerators from across the country on 09th June 2022 at the SLPI premises. More than 20 interested youth and district-wise journalists attended the program delivered by the SLPI Research Officer, Journalist and Media Trainer, Mr  Ananda Dharmapriya Jayasekara.  The training was very well-received by the trainees as they were given a both theoretical understanding and  practical demonstration of data gathering for the said research.
