The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) Provides Safety Vests for Journalists

The Sri Lanka Press Institute printed and distributed  safety jackets for journalists to be used during protests and public demonstrations prevailing in various locations in the country. These vests help journalists stand out among crowds and help ensure safety while reporting. The jackets were distributed to print media newsrooms. Nurturing a safe and secure environment for journalists while on duty is an objective of the SLPI in promoting media freedom.
