A Strong Parliament for a Democratic Future

The first session of the two-day provincial level workshop series on “A Strong Parliament for a Democratic Future” conducted by the Sri Lanka Press Institute was kicked off on 26th October 2021 for the Sinhala medium participants of the Eastern and North-Western Provinces. The workshop was held online via the ZOOM from 9.00am- 2.00 pm. The session was conducted by Rohana Hettiarachchi, Executive Director of PAFFREL, Sachinda Dulanjana, former speaker of the Youth Parliament, and Chathurika L. Akurugoda, Attorney-at-Law & Senior Lecturer of Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. The objective of the session was to improve the political literacy of youth by educating them on the Parliamentary System of Sri Lanka.
