Workshop on Reparations

The Sri Lanka Press Insitute organized a residential workshop for journalists of print and electronic media on 17th and 18th  December at The Villas Wadduwa, Wadduwa.  The workshop was on Reparations where SLPI in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM)  Sri Lanka spread awareness of the Office for Reparations Act, No.34 of 2018.

Resource persons for the event were Shirley Gunn, Executive Director of Human Rights Media Centre (HRMC), Cape Town, South Africa and Eugen Jakovcic, Journalist and Media Coordinator for Documenta, Croatia.

Provincial and Newsroom journalists of print, electronic and web media of all three languages frm around the island participated in the workshop.
