SLPI and Media Organizations Meet Minister of Media

A delegation from constituent partners and affiliates of the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) met the Minister of Mass Media Keheliya Rambukwella this week to request him to consult stakeholders when drafting media law reforms as had been proposed by the Minister recently. The Minister agreed to do so in the New Year.

The delegation comprised representatives of the Newspaper Society of Sri Lanka, The Editors’ Guild of Sri Lanka, Free Media Movement, Sri Lanka Working Journalists Association, Tamil Media Alliance, Muslim Media Forum, Federation of Media Employees’ Trade Union, South Asia Free Media Association and the SLPI.
