Sail on your own strategies for sustainable work on Reconciliation stories – Catamaran Workshop

SLPI conducted a Two day (13th and 14th March 2020) workshop on “Sail on your own strategies: For Sustainable work on Reconciliation stories”. SLPI hosted this event in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the British Council Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Ministry of National Integration, Official Languages, Social Progress, and Hindu Religious Affairs and Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT) Germany. The guest speaker was Sven Recker, Trainer, Editor-in-Chief at MiCT, Germany.

The workshop was structured to discuss the writing techniques of reconciliation related articles. Trainer instructed them to how to improve their writing skills produce more effective articles on national integration and reconciliation. Around 30 journalists from different media streams participated in this workshop. They got a chance to participate actively in promoting national integration and reconciliation within Sri Lanka’s media sector through creating articles.
