South Asian Open Talks

In observance of the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) 2019 UNESCO organized  South Asian Open Talks under the theme “Leaving No One Behind Promoting the Right to Information, Multilingualism in Cyberspace, and Local Content Development” on Wednesday 9 October 2019.

Kumar Lopez, CEO of Sri Lanka Press Institute was a speaker at the event who deliberated on the impact of the Right to Information in Sri Lanka, and how the next generation can take it forward to guarantee freedom of information for continued empowerment of the citizens.
