Right to Information is a primary component of good governance and SLPI has been driving the need to enact RTI through various means of engagement with the government and also with the key stakeholders. However one such activity that they are engaged at present is to bring about the needed awareness among the journalists.
Recently there were several sessions conducted in Pollonnaruwe, Batticaloa, Vavuniya and Kurunegala on education journalists on RTI and its importance to Journalism.
